POCO M4 Pro 4G could be a rebranded version of this phone

POCO M4 Pro 4G is reportedly in the works for some markets. To recall, POCO had launched the POCO M4 Pro 5G, which was announced back in November 2021. It was a rebranded version of China’s Redmi Note 11 handset. It is speculated that the upcoming 4G version of the M4 Pro will also be a rebadged Redmi phone.

The POCO M4 Pro 4G was recently spotted at Thailand’s NBTC certification platform with a 2201117PG model number. The certification is a good hint that the company could be planning to launch the M4 Pro 4G soon in select markets. Apart from M4 Pro, the company is reportedly working on other models such as the POCO X4 series, POCO F4 GT, and POCO C4.

According to XDA Developers, the Redmi Note 11S that was recently announced for global markets may hit some markets as POCO M4 Pro 4G. The publication claimed that both models have the same fleur codename. The POCO M4 Pro 4G may pack the same innards that have been available on Note 11S. However, it may sport a different design. The NBTC certification is a good hint that the M4 Pro 4G could be heading to Thailand. It is advisable to wait for further reports to know which other markets will be receiving the smartphone.

Redmi Note 11S specifications

The Redmi Note 11S has a 6.43-inch AMOLED 90Hz display. It runs on MIUI 13 based Android 12 OS and is powered by the Helio G96 chipset. The device ships with up 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.  The Note 11S has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. Its other features include a microSD card slot, dual stereo speakers, and a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

Upcoming POCO phones

The POCO X4 5G handset has been recently certified by certification sites like FCC and India’s BIS authority. The model numbers 2201116PG (global) and 2201116PI (India) are associated with this device. The handset might arrive as a rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. It may offer specs like a 6.6-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, Snapdragon 690, 108-megapixel triple cameras, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. Other X4 models such as POCO X4 Pro, X4 NFC, and X4 GT are also said to be in the works.

A recent leak revealed that the POCO M4 may debut in February. It may arrive with specs like a 90Hz LCD display and 64-megapixel triple cameras. The model numbers 21121210G (global) and 21121210I (India) are said to belong to the upcoming POCO F4 GT. It could be a rebranded version of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, which is expected to launch in February in China. It may feature a 144Hz OLED display, Dimensity 9000 chip, and 108-megapixel quad cameras.

It is believed that the POCO F4 Pro+ with 22021211RG model number could be a rebadged version of China’s upcoming Redmi K50 Pro+. Lastly, the rumoured POCO C4 is likely to be rebranded version of Redmi 10C.
