POCO M5 India launch seems imminent since it has been approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Apart from BIS, it has also been certified by other certification platforms, which indicates that it will not take too long for it to go official.

The company is also said to be working on another smartphone called the POCO M5s. The device was recently certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US. It was revealed that it will be a tweaked version of the Redmi Note 10S from last year. Here is all the information that is known about the POCO M5 and POCO M5s.

According to a report by Xiaomiui, there are two model numbers, such as 22071219CG and 22071219CI, associated with the POCO M5. The former is a global model with NFC support, while the latter is an Indian model without NFC support. The POCO M5’s global version has been seen at other certification sites like the FCC and Singapore’s IMDA.
The certification listings of the POCO M5 have revealed that it is a 4G LTE device. It carries support for up to 5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity. It will come pre-installed with the Android 12 OS and MIUI 13. Unfortunately, the other specifications of the POCO M5 are under wraps.
POCO M5s specifications (rumoured)
The FCC certification of the POCO M5s has revealed that it will be a tweaked edition of the Redmi Note 10S. This device has a 2207117BPG model number. It is unclear whether there is an Indian version of the device.
The device’s FCC listing revealed that it will be available in three configurations: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. It will also run on the MIUI 13 based Android 12 OS.
The rest of the specifications of the POCO M5s could be identical to those of the Redmi Note 10S. So, it is likely to have a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution, an Helio G95 chipset, LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged with 18W. It will feature a 64-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (depth) + 2-megapixel (macro) quad-camera unit and a 13-megapixel front camera.
