POCO has recently launched the POCO C50 in India. It has been made available as a rebranded version of the Redmi A1+. A separate leak has revealed that POCO will soon release a C-series phone called the POCO C55. Yet again, it will be a rebadged version of an existing Redmi phone.
POCO Pods, Redmi Buds 4 Active Renders
The POCO Pods and Redmi Buds 4 Active are not different products. They are the same products with different names. Both devices are expected to be released in India. In terms of design, both earbuds look similar to the AirPods Pro. The POCO Pods’ case can be seen sporting a dual-tone black / yellow colour. The earbuds are black in colour but have yellow ear tips. The Redmi Buds 4 Active, on the other hand, will come in black and beige shades.
The specifications of the POCO Pods / Redmi Buds 4 Active are not known yet. However, the images of the earbuds show a cutout, which indicates that they have a microphone and may support voice assistant. The earbuds may feature touch controls for play / pause or answer / end phone calls.
POCO C55 specifications: what to expect
According to tipster Kacper Skrzypek, the POCO C55 will be a rebranded version of the Redmi 12C, which is currently only available in China. He said that the Redmi 12C will also release in markets outside of China. The global edition of the Redmi 12C will support NFC connectivity, while it appears that the Indian edition may lack support for it. While the POCO C55 will be released in the global market, it is unclear whether it will be made available in India.
The POCO C55 will feature a 6.71-inch IPS LCD display that offers an HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by the Helio G85 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. It will arrive with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. For additional storage, it will have a microSD card slot.
On the front, the C55 will have a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Its back panel will have a 50-megapixel main camera, a depth sensor, and an LED flash. It will run on the Android 13 OS and MIUI 13. For security, it will have a fingerprint sensor.
