POCO X2 goes on sale in India for the first time, yours starting from Rs 15,999

Last week, POCO introduced its second smartphone called the POCO X2 in India. Today, the company is hosting the first sale of the handset in the country. The phone is available exclusively from the e-commerce portal Flipkart. The POCO X2 comes in three RAM and storage configurations 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB. The base variant of the device with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 15,999. The models with 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB configurations are being offered for Rs 16,999 and Rs 19,999 respectively. The POCO X2 is available in three attractive hues in the country – Atlantis Blue, Matrix Purple, and Phoenix Red.

Unlike the flagship POCO F1, the POCO X2 is a mid-range offering with an almost bezel-free design, a quad primary camera setup at the rear, and a premium-looking design. The phone has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD full HD+ display with a massive screen refresh rate of 120Hz. Officially dubbed Reality Flow screen, the display provides a smoother experience when it comes to scrolling and playing games. The handset comes with HDR10 support, anti-fingerprint coating, and two holes in the screen to house the dual selfie cameras.

At the rear, the POCO X2 has a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary camera with f/1.89 aperture. The main sensor is aided by a 120-degree 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP dedicated macro shooter, and a 2MP lens for depth sensing. For selfies, the device has a 20MP primary camera, which is aided by a 2MP secondary snapper to provide bokeh effects to selfies.

The POCO X2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor, which is aided by up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Software-wise, the device boots MIUI 11 based on Android 10. The connectivity features are standard including 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and A-GPS. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support complete the list of the specs.
