POCO X2 price increased by Rs 1,000 due to GST rate hike, now starts at Rs 16,999

China’s Redmi K30 4G was recently launched in India as the POCO X2. POCO India took to Twitter on April 1st to announce a hike in prices of the handset, in order to stay profitable amidst the current global economic meltdown. The rise in the GST rate from 12 percent to 18 percent, in addition to the weakening Rupee means and supply chain issues has caused the hike in prices, as per the brand. The updated prices will be effective starting from today.

According to a statement from the brand, the updated prices for the POCO X2 start at Rs 16,999 for the 6GB + 64GB variant. The smartphone went on sale on February 11th, priced at Rs 15,999, Rs 16,999, and Rs 19,999 for the same variants, respectively.
