Earlier this week, POCO confirmed that it will be announcing the POCO X2 smartphone in India on February 4th. Some of the key features of the POCO X2 has been already confirmed through its landing pages on the POCO India website and Flipkart. These listings and multiple leaks have pretty much confirmed that it will be a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 4G that was announced in China in December 2019. In a report, Hindustan Times has now given us a good look at the design of the phone. It also reveals the key specs of the device and claims that it will be available in India with a starting price of Rs 18,999.
The leaked poster of the POCO X2 showcases its blue colour variant. As it can be seen, even the edges of the are blue in colour. At the front, it sports a display that features a pill-shaped cutout for the two front-facing cameras.
The bottom edge of the phone features an external speaker, a USB-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. A side-facing fingerprint reader ca be seen on the right side of the phone. The back panel of the phone has a circular patch in which it features a vertical quad camera setup followed by an LED flash. POCO branding can be seen towards the bottom of the rear shell.
The leaked poster reveals some of the key specs of the phone. It states that the phone has a 6.67-inch (16.94cm) RealityFlow Display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The quad camera array on the rear has Sony IMX686 64-megapixel main lens. The design of the phone and its leaked specs are exactly identical to the Redmi K30 4G. POCO has already revealed that the POCO X2 will be arriving with some other features like liquid cooling technology and fast charging support.
The report further states that the POCO X2 it will be arriving with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. It will be priced at Rs 18,999.
A leaked shot of the POCO X2 has cropped up on Twitter. The ‘phoenix’ codename of the POCO X2 which was previously spotted in the Geekbench listing can be also seen in the image. Also, it reveals that the POCO X2 is powered by Snapdragon 730G which is mentioned with its ‘Snapdragon 7150’ codename.
The above shot suggests that the POCO X2 will probably arrive as a rebadged Redmi K30. Hence, the POCO X2 may borrow Redmi K30 4G’s remaining specs such as 20-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual frontal shooters, 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast charging, 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad cameras, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of built-in storage.
