POCO is all set to introduce its latest smartphone called the POCO X2 at an event in India on February 4th. Ahead of the launch, the company has already teased a few features of the smartphone. While announcing the launch date of the POCO X2, the brand revealed that the POCO X2 will come with a liquid cooling system, which will keep the heat at an optimal level while providing extreme gaming performance. In addition, the company announced that the POCO X2 will feature an “extreme refresh rate” to provide an immersive gaming experience, but the phone maker didn’t reveal the exact screen refresh rate. However, POCO’s online sales partner Flipkart has revealed some information regarding the POCO X2’s screen tech.
Flipkart has put up a teaser page for the upcoming POCO X2 smartphone on its website. The teaser page has revealed that the next-gen POCO offering will flaunt a massive screen refresh rate of 120Hz. Just like POCO, Flipkart has also mentioned that the high display refresh rate of the POCO X2 will provide “extreme gaming” experience and seamless touch response. This tech should be able to offer a smooth scrolling experience and immersive visuals during gaming. Lastly, Flipkart’s listing suggests that the high screen refresh rate of the POCO X2 will be promoted as “RealityFlow”.
POCO X2 specifications and features
Flipkart hasn’t revealed any other details regarding the upcoming POCO X2. However, the company has already teased that the handset will boast the Sony IMX686 sensor as the primary camera at the rear, which is capable of capturing images in up to 64MP resolution. These are the only official details available about the next-gen POCO offering.
If the reports are to be believed, the POCO X2 will be a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 that’s available in China. The phone was launched in December as a mid-range offering with a quad primary camera setup at the rear and two selfie cameras. In China, the device is available in both 4G and 5G network supported variants, but given the lack of 5G networks availability in India, we expect only the 4G model will make it to the Indian shores.
The POCO X2 is expected to be priced competitively in India, and we can expect it to be offered in the sub-Rs 20,000 price segment. We should have official details in a matter of a week, so stay tuned for regular updates.
