POCO  X3 GT will not launch in India, POCO India Country Head, Anuj Sharma has confirmed. The device is a rebranded Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G for global markets. Soon after the launch, Sharma took to Twitter to confirm that the new device will not come to India. According to Sharma, the India lineup already has two solid contenders and there’s no need for yet another offering to confuse buyers.

Notably, the POCO X3 GT was launched recently in South-East Asian markets like the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore, among others. Considering the fact that the POCO X3 GT is a stripped-down version of the F3 GT, it makes sense to not launch ut here. Here’s what Sharma said in his tweet and the reason behind the decision.

POCO F3 GT will not launch in India

The POCO X3 GT shares most of its specs with the existing POCO X3 Pro, except for the 5G-enabled Dimensity 1100 SoC, 64MP triple rear cameras, and faster charging. According to Sharma, with the POCO X3 Pro (review) under Rs 20,000 and POCO F3 GT under Rs 30,000, there’s no place for the POCO X3 GT in their lineup in India. According to Sharma, while POCO has “big plans for the future, but the POCO X3 GT is not part of them.” Moreover, the tweet ended with Sharma taking a dig at another brand for causing confusion in its lineup, presumably Realme.

POCO X3 GT specifications and features

The POCO X3 GT comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC. The processor is backed by 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS3.1 storage. There’s a 64MP triple rear camera setup and a 16MP selfie camera on the front. The smartphone boots MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
