POCO X3 with Snapdragon 732G and 120Hz display launched in India: price, specifications

Earlier this year Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO had launched the POCO X2. It marked POCO’s re-entry in to the smartphone market after remaining inactive last year. Now the brand has introduced a new device in India called POCO X3. It was unveiled globally earlier this month as the POCO X3 NFC.

The POCO X3 arrives as the successor to POCO X2 with upgraded internals and design changes. The Indian variant of the smartphone shares most of the same specifications as its global counterpart, barring the battery. Read on to find out what the POCO X3 offers out of the box.

Poco X3 specifications and features


The Indian model of POCO X3 features a larger battery compared to the global variant.

The POCO X3 sports a centre-aligned punch-hole LCD display measuring 6.67-inches. It bears FHD+ resolution and features a 120Hz refresh rate screen along with 240Hz touch sampling rate. The device comes with HDR10 and Widevine L1 certification for streaming HD content on Netflix, Prime Video etc. Design-wise, the back of the phone has a circular camera module and a thick textured strip in the centre. The bottom part of the device also has POCO branding. The smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. 

In the imaging department, the POCO X3 is equipped with a quad-camera setup. It consists of a 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro unit. The punch-hole cutout on the front accommodates a 20MP selfie snapper. 

Under the hood, the POCO X3 has a Snapdragon 732G SoC ticking at its core. The smartphone is offered in three configurations with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The device is equipped with a liquid cooling technology that aids in dissipating heat during intensive usage. The POCO X3 draws its power from a 6,000mAh battery, compared to the 5,160mAh unit on the global variant. It supports 33W fast charging technology. 

Software-wise, the POCO X3 runs the latest MIUI 12 based on Android 10. POCO says that users will get three years of OS updates on the smartphone. Connectivity options on the POCO X3 include dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C, IR Blaster and 3.5mm jack. 

POCO X3 price in India

The POCO X3’s base variant i.e. 6GB + 64GB is priced at Rs 16,999 while the 6GB + 128GB option costs Rs 18,499. The higher 8GB + 128GB model carries a price tag of Rs 19,999. The smartphone is offered in Shadow Grey and Cobalt Blue colour options. It will go on sale on Flipkart starting September 29th at 12pm.
