POCO X3 NFC with Snapdragon 732G launching on September 7th

Since the tail-end of August, POCO has been teasing the arrival of a new phone. The company has now officially confirmed that it will be launching the POCO X3 NFC on September 7th. The device will be the successor to the POCO X2 that debuted earlier this year.

The POCO X2 was fueled by the Snapdragon 730G processor. The POCO X3 on the other hand will be the first smartphone to feature the newly-announced Snapdragon 732G chipset. Other expected features of the POCO X3 NFC include a 120Hz refresh rate display, 64-megapixel quad rear cameras and a large battery with fast charging support.

POCO’s global Twitter handle has confirmed that the online launch event of the POCO X3 NFC will take place at 8pm (GMT +8) on September 7th. The Snapdragon 732G that will be fueling the POCO X3 NFC is an 8nm chipset that includes two Kryo 470 cores ticking at 2.3GHz and six Kryo 470 cores clocking at 1.8GHz.

Like the Snapdragon 730G, the Snapdragon732G will come with Adreno 618 GPU. However, Qualcomm has tweaked the GPU to deliver 15 percent better performance over its predecessor. It comes with other features such as LTE (X15 modem) support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and Quick Charge 4+ support.

POCO X3 NFC specifications and features (expected)

The POCO X3 is expected to sport a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel with a punch-hole design. The screen could feature full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The SoC could be coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

The POCO X3 NFC will feature a 64-megapixel quad camera setup. It is likely to feature the same Sony IM686 primary lens that was seen on the POCO X2. It will have a front-facing 20-megapixel camera. The phone may draw power from a 5,160mAh battery. The handset is rumoured to arrive with support for 33W fast charging.

The leaked renders of the smartphone have revealed that it will be available in at least black and blue colour variants. At present, there is no word on the pricing of the POCO X3 NFC.
