POCO X3 Pro to debut in India on March 30th: here’s what to expect

The all-new POCO X3 Pro smartphone could debut in India on March 30th. POCO India is teasing launch of a new device on March 30th on Twitter but without shedding light on specifications or features or even name of the device. The teasers does hint at the launch of POCO X3 Pro, which could debut in India as an update to POCO X3 (review), which went official in India last year.

In the previous week, POCO released a tweet to hint at the arrival of the POCO X3 Pro smartphone. In terms of performance, POCO is teasing the smartphone to offer better performance than the Snapdragon 845 powered POCO F1, which launched in India back in August 2018. The tweet also suggested that the POCO X3 Pro could be priced around Rs 21,000.

POCO X3 Pro specifications (Rumoured)

It was reported in February by XDA Developers that the POCO X3 Pro codenamed as “Vayu” and “Bhima” uses a processor based on SM8150. While this model number is associated with 2019’s Snapdragon 855 and its overclocked version called the Snapdragon 855+, the publication even went on to say that it is related to an unannounced chip called the Snapdragon 860. It also revealed that the X3 Pro is equipped with a 48-megpaixel quad-camera system.

Recently, reliable tipster Mukul Sharma released a tweet to reveal that the POCO X3 Pro has a Full HD+ display that offers a refresh rate of 120Hz refresh rate and it has a 5,200mAh battery. He also claimed that the phone is fuelled by the Snapdragon 860 SoC. The other spec of the X3 Pro is under wraps though.

The POCO X3 Pro that has a model number M2012J20SG has been approved by multiple certification sites such as FCC in the U.S, Singapore’s IMDA, Malaysia’s SIRIM, Thailand’s NBTC, Europe’s EEC, Indonesia Telecom, and TUV Rheinland. These certifications have only confirmed that the POCO X3 Pro is a 4G LTE handset and it has other connectivity features like dual-band Wi-Fi and NFC.

In related news, POCO is expected to launch the POCO F3 smartphone in global markets soon. It is believed to be a rebranded version of the Snapdragon 870 powered Redmi K40, which debuted in China last month. It is also speculated that India will receive Xiaomi Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro smartphones in the near future. These devices are said to be rebadged editions of the Redmi K40 and K40 Pro.
