POCO X3 Pro India launch has been teased by the POCO Country Head, Anuj Sharma. Sharma shared an open letter on his Twitter handle outlining the success that the POCO F1 had been and how the anticipation around a successor has been on an all-time high. However, he went on to reveal that while the next groundbreaking device will not be an F-series handset but will be equally compelling as the POCO F1.
The open letter had several clues hidden in plain sight in bold hinting at the upcoming launch. The brand strategically highlighted letters like ‘X’, ’21’, ’30 M’ and ‘Pro’ in the letter, hinting at the POCO X3 Pro. Recently, the POCO X3 Pro has been in the news with key specifications and launch confirmed by the tipster, Mukul Sharma.

In his open letter, Anuj Sharma mentions that the performance to price ratio is what made the POCO F1 a hit among the Indian users. He goes on to claim that since August 22nd, 2018 — when the POCO F1 was launched — not a single smartphone has been able to match the performance of the first generation POCO F series device. However, things are about to change as he mentions, “only a POCO can beat a POCO! The only difference being it’ll not be an F by name but by game!”
The highlighted ‘X‘ and ‘Pro‘ hints at the launch of POCO X3 Pro, whereas the ‘30 M‘ could mean March 30th. This is in line with the previous leaks, which suggested that the smartphone might launch alongside POCO F3 this month. Additionally, the ‘21‘ in bold suggests that the upcoming smartphone will be priced around Rs 21,000, same as the POCO F1.
POCO X3 Pro specifications and features (expected)
The POCO X3 Pro with model number M2012J20SG has been spotted on various certifications in the past. These include Indonesia Telecom, Thailand’s NBTC, Malaysia’s SIRIM, Europe’s EEC, Singapore’s IMDA, FCC in the US, and TUV Rheinland. The listings have revealed various specs including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and MIUI 12.
Additionally, the XDA Developers reported that the POCO X3 Pro may come equipped with Qualcomm’s sm8150 chipset, which refers to Snapdragon 855 and its overlocked version, the Snapdragon 855 Plus. The same report revealed that the phone will feature a 48-megapixel main wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide sensor, a macro camera, and a depth sensor.
