- The upcoming POCO X3 Pro has received NBTC certification in Thailand
- It has also bagged SIRIM, EEC, BIS, FCC, and TUV Rheinland certifications in recent weeks
- These certifications suggest the POCO X3 Pro could be launching soon
POCO is reportedly working on the launch of a new phone named POCO X3 Pro. As the name indicates, it may arrive as an updated version of the POCO X3 NFC / POCO X3 that went official last year. Today, the handset with model number M2012J20SG was spotted on Thailand’s NBTC certification platform.
Prior to appearing on the NBTC, the POCO X3 Pro M2012J20SG was spotted on other certification sites such as Malaysia’s SIRIM, Europe’s EEC, Singapore’s IMDA, FCC in the US, and TUV Rheinland. The ‘POCO X3 Pro’ moniker was previously confirmed by the IMEI database. The Indian version of the smartphone with model number M2012J20SI was recently approved by the country’s BIS authority. Hence, it appears that the POCO X3 Pro will also land in India soon.
POCO X3 Pro specifications and features (expected)
Unfortunately, none of the certification listings of the POCO X3 Pro have revealed any concrete information on its specs. The listings have only revealed that it is equipped with features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and MIUI 12.
Earlier this month month, XDA Developers reported that the different variants of the same base model of the POCO X3 Pro are codenamed “vayu” and “bhima.” The publication added that the X3 Pro may come equipped with Qualcomm’s sm8150 chipset and a 48-megapixel quad-camera system.
The sm8150 model number is associated with Snapdragon 855 and its overlocked version, the Snapdragon 855 Plus. The report claimed that the quad-camera system of the phone has a 48-megapixel main wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide sensor, a macro camera, and a depth sensor. The megapixel count of the other cameras is not known yet.
The launch date of the POCO X3 Pro could be close at hand since it has bagged certifications in different regions.
