POCO X5 5G India launch looks uncertain. POCO’s global Twitter handle recently confirmed that it will announce the POCO X5 5G and the POCO X5 Pro 5G on February 6th, 2023. POCO India’s Twitter also confirmed that it will announce the X5 Pro at the same time in India. Hence, it appears that the vanilla model may arrive in India.

Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has leaked the key specifications of the X5 and claimed that it will not release in India. However, it will be made available in Europe. Here is a look at what to expect from the vanilla model.

The POCO X5 5G specs leak reveals that it will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that produces a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, up to 1,200 nits of maximum brightness, and a contrast ratio of 4,500,000:1. It will house a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and MMT technology support.

The POCO X5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 mobile platform. The leak does not say anything about the RAM and storage configurations of the device. However, it is likely to come equipped with 6GB / 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.3

The X5 will come preloaded with the MIUI 14-based Android 12 OS. It will have a 13-megapixel camera for shooting selfies. On the back, it will feature a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The leak also reveals that the device will arrive in three colors, such as blue, green, and yellow. There is no word on the price of the X5.

As can be seen, the POCO X5 is almost identical to the Redmi Note 12 5G. The Redmi model has the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 and sports a different rear design. The other specifications are the same on both models.
