POCO X5 5G India launch has been officially confirmed. As can be seen in the tweet below, the X5 will be unveiled at 12 pm on March 14th, 2023. It also confirms that the device will be available in three colours, such as black, green, and blue. While it is a brand-new phone for the Indian market, it is already been available in the global market since February.

The POCO X5 5G bears similarities with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1-powered Redmi Note 12 5G, which debuted last month. The POCO phone not only has a different chipset but also a redesigned rear panel. The rest of the specifications are identical on both smartphones.

POCO X5 5G specifications

The POCO X5 5G smartphone boasts impressive specifications. It has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, and Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection. The X5 features a 13-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. On the back, the device is fitted with a large camera block that houses a 48-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit, an LED flash, and the POCO branding.

With up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, the X5 runs on the Snapdragon 695 mobile platform. It comes preinstalled with Android 13 and MIUI 13.

The POCO X5 5G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It also has a side-facing fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, a microSD card slot, and an IP53-rated splash-resistant body, among other features.

POCO X5 5G price in India (expected)

The POCO X5 Pro 5G’s starting price in India is Rs 22,999. This suggests that the standard model, which is set to be released soon, may be priced lower than Rs 20,000.
