POCO X5 and POCO X5 Pro will debut on February 6th, 2023. The company will hold the launch event for the global and Indian markets at the same time. The online global launch event will be carried out at 8:00 pm GMT+8 on the said date. It will be live-streamed through the company’s global YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook accounts. The tweet released by the company’s global Twitter handle confirms that it will announce the POCO X5 5G and the POCO X5 Pro 5G.
The launch poster released by POCO India’s Twitter handle only mentions the POCO X5 Pro. Furthermore, the landing page available on Flipkart showcases Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya endorsing the Pro. Hence, it is unclear whether the company has any plans to announce the vanilla along with the Pro model on February 6th. Here is a look at what to expect from the POCO X5 series.

POCO X5 Pro India launch date confirmed
The POCO X5 5G is said to be based on the Redmi Note 12 5G. While the Redmi phone has the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip, the Poco model is said to be equipped with the slightly faster Snapdragon 695. The X5 may borrow the rest of its specs from the Redmi model.
Hence, it is expected to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, a 13-megapixel front camera, a 48-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit, a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support, up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. POCO X5 5G
According to rumours, the POCO X5 Pro 5G could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition, which is only available in China. The X5 Pro is likely to feature the same display that will be available on the X5. It may feature the Snapdragon 778G chipset, up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a 108-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit.

POCO X5 Pro 5G
The POCO X5 series may run on MIU 14-based Android 13 OS. Both phones may come equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The leaked renders show that the POCO X5 may arrive in black and green, whereas the Pro model could be coming in black, yellow, and blue. There is no word on the prices of the POCO X5 series for the Indian market.
