POCO X5 Pro launch seems imminent. The reason for this is that it has received some important certifications. In addition, its key specifications have been leaked. Rumours surrounding it suggest that the vanilla POCO X5 will also debut alongside the POCO X5 Pro.
To recall, POCO unveiled the POCO X3 in Q3 of 2020. It was followed by the POCO X3 Pro in March 2021. In March of this year, the company unveiled the POCO X4 Pro 5G, but it did not release the POCO X4 5G vanilla model. New developments suggest that the POCO X5 5G and POCO X5 Pro 5G may debut together in the coming weeks.

The upcoming POCO X5 Pro’s global variant has appeared in the IMEI database with the 22101320G model number. This device was previously spotted at the FCC certification last month, during which some of its key specifications were revealed.
The POCO X5 Pro 5G’s Indian edition, which has been previously spotted in the database of the BIS authority, has a 22101320I model number. Its Chinese variant, with model number 22101320C, has also been approved by the 3C authority. The listing revealed the device’s fast charging capabilities. However, it is likely that the POCO X5 Pro 5G may get rebranded as a Redmi-brand handset in the Chinese market.
As per the FCC listing, the POCO X5 Pro 5G will arrive with a 5,000mAh battery. It is likely to support 67W rapid charging. The phone will run on the latest MIUI 14, which could be overlaid on the Android 13 OS. It will support multiple 5G bands, such as n5, n7, n38, n41, n77, and n78.
Previous reports have claimed that the POCO X5 Pro 5G will feature the Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset and an IPS LCD panel that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. A new tweet by tipster Mukul Sharma suggests that the X5 Pro will feature the newer Snapdragon 782G chipset instead of the SD778G+.
