POCO X5 Pro 5G will be launched in India tomorrow (February 6th, 2023). At the same time, the company will be holding a launch event to announce the POCO X5 5G and POCO X5 Pro 5G for the global market. While the Pro model is confirmed to launch in India, there is a possibility that the vanilla model may not be released in the country.
The POCO X5 Pro 5G will succeed the Snapdragon 695-powered Poco X4 Pro 5G, which debuted last year. The successor model will come equipped with a 120Hz AMOLED display and Snapdragon 7-series chipset. It will be the first POCO phone to feature a 108-megapixel camera.

The Poco X5 Pro 5G will start at 5:30 pm tomorrow. The event will be live-streamed through the company’s social media accounts available on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

POCO has confirmed that the POCO X5 Pro will have a 120Hz AMOLED Xfinity display. Rumours surrounding it have revealed that it may come equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel that offers an FHD+ resolution, 10-bit colours, and Dolby Vision support. Under the hood, it will feature the Snapdragon 778G chipset. The device is expected to arrive with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Under the hood, the POCO X5 Pro is likely to feature a 5,000mAh battery, which may support 67W fast charging. The device is confirmed to come preloaded with Android 12 OS with the MIUI 12 skin on top.
For photography, the X5 Pro may feature a 16-megapixel front camera and a 108-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera system. It will be capable of shooting 4K video at 30 fps. The X5 Pro is expected to arrive with other features like a side-facing fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and dual stereo speakers.

The above tweet shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav shows that the Poco X5 Pro’s base variant will be priced at Rs 22,999. With the Rs 2,000 ICICI Bank instant discount offer, the X5 Pro will cost Rs 20,999. What’s shown above is not the official price of the device, but a premature ad that reportedly showed up on YouTube.
The tweet also reveals that the X5 Pro will be available for purchase for the first time starting at 12 pm on February 13th, 2023. Like other POCO phones, it will be sold exclusively through Flipkart. The handset will be available in three shades: black, blue, and yellow.
