POCO X5 series India launch could be drawing near. The first teasers for the X5 series have appeared on Flipkart. One of the posters that have been shared below mentions the letter ‘X’ five times. Hence, it appears that it will not take too long for the brand to confirm the POCO X5 series’ launch date.

Multiple reports have revealed that the lineup will have two models, the POCO X5 5G and the POCO X5 Pro 5G. The vanilla model is said to be a tweaked version of the Redmi Note 12 5G, featuring a different chipset. On the other hand, the POCO X5 Pro 5G is likely to be a rebranded version of the China-exclusive Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition. A report from the past week carried live shots of the handset as well as its retail box.

The POCO X5 5G will arrive with a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz screen, a Snapdragon 695 SoC, up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to UFS 2.2 128GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It will have an 8-megapixel selfie camera and a 48-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit on the back.

The POCO X5 Pro 5G will have the same display as the vanilla model. It will be equipped with the Snapdragon 778G mobile platform, up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W rapid charging. It will be equipped with a 16-megapixel front camera and a rear-mounted triple camera unit with a 108-megapixel primary snapper, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

Both devices will run on MIUI 13-based Android 13 OS. For security, both phones will be equipped with a side-facing fingerprint sensor. At present, there is no word on the price of the device. However, the pricing of the predecessor models suggests that both models will cost between Rs 15,000 and Rs 25,000.
