Pricebaba Announces The Home Appliance Satisfaction Study: Voice of 10,000 users

Pricebaba is India’s largest appliance research site, with a monthly traffic of over 5 million. Being an authority in this space, we decided to conduct a first of its kind Home Appliance Satisfaction Study with over 10,000 respondents, to find out the best brands in the washing machine, refrigerator and air conditioner categories, according to users. Through this study, we were able to glean specific, user-based insights, covering areas such as consumer satisfaction, after-sales support and brand loyalty, among others.

For example, we’ve learned that in the washing machine category, 46.1 percent of Samsung users have faced no issues with their appliance. LG came in at a close second, with 43.3 percent not facing any issues, followed by Whirlpool at 39.6 percent and IFB at 39 percent. Interestingly, a whopping 70.2 percent of Godrej washing machine users said they found it easy to lodge a complaint with the service centre, followed by IFB at 68.9 percent and LG at 65.4 percent.

When it comes to refrigerators, LG users (56.9 percent) have faced the least issues, followed by Samsung (52.5 percent), Haier (50.9 percent) and Whirlpool (50 percent). When it comes to the ease of lodging a complaint with the service centre, Haier and Godrej users were the most satisfied, with 62.7 percent and 62.6 percent respectively stating that it’s easy to register a complaint with the company. These are closely followed by Samsung (61.1 percent), LG (60.8 percent) and Whirlpool (59.4 percent).

In the air conditioner category, 58.9 percent of Blue Star users faced no service-related issues, followed by Daikin with 55.4 percent and Hitachi with 50 percent. When it comes to after-sales service, 69.4 percent of Daikin users reported it was easy to lodge a complaint with the service centre, followed by Carrier (62.3 percent), Hitachi (56.4 percent) and Voltas (55.6 percent).

These are just a few of the insights from our study – we’ve also collected data on aspects such as brand performance, after-sales service, technician competency, user satisfaction and brand loyalty, among others.
