HTC is all set for its “U” event in which the company is planning to unveil new lineup – HTC Ocean. Already there have been numerous leaks about this new lineup, some rumours claiming to call these phones HTC U Ultra, a 6-inch phablet and HTC U Play, a smaller sibling with a 5.2-inch display. And, some earlier rumours claimed that the company is planning to launch a new button-less concept phone – HTC Ocean. Now, a new video leaked which appears to be a promo video of this new lineup further reclaim the earlier rumours of HTC Ocean lineup.
In the video, a phone is showed featuring a touch-sensitive metallic frame which lets users scroll and navigate between apps and even take selfies just by rubbing on the edges. The appearance of the phone is quite appalling with a sleek design and is devoid of buttons as a part of Sense Touch concept. The Sense Touch is a new feature which let designers add contextual controls on the touch-sensitive metallic frame that, thus leading towards a clean and streamlined user interface. The video also gives an idea about the kind of technology HTC is experimenting with for next high-end smartphones.
There are also rumours regarding the line-up of HTC Ocean spawned in three different models. The three different models of HTC Ocean are codenamed Ocean Master, Ocean Note and Ocean Smart. But, it is yet to be confirmed which model is shown in the video and whether or not the company is launching this phone at the event.
