In the deleted tweet, Maxtern thanks PUBG Mobile India for the main PUBG version app. He mentions that it is available for limited people and they are allowed to upload the gameplay video one day prior to public launch. The tweet also reveals that he will post the ‘first look’ soon and that the servers for the Indian version of the game are not working at the moment.

It’s common for influencers, journalists and publications to receive early access to software and products before the official release. Maxtern’s tweet indicates that the game could be closer to launch. Currently, there is no information on PUBG Mobile India’s exact release date. There have been only reports of the game launching anytime soon.

In another report by InsideSport, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) revealed that the Indian government hasn’t granted permission to PUBG Mobile India to restart operations in the country.

The report stated that Any banned entity can’t operate just by floating a new company. This even Tik Tok or anyone else can do. They will have to get permissions from MEITY to operate once again in India.’ This clearly means that although the company has been established in India, it will again require permissions from the ministry to bring back the game.

So far, PUBG Mobile India Pvt Ltd has been registered out of Bengaluru. It has officially announced the battle royale game for the Indian market and the company is partnering with Microsoft to use Azure cloud service. The company has also put up an Indian website with ‘coming soon’ tag.
