Sports brand PUMA partnered with Fossil Group to launch its first smartwatch globally last year. Now the brand has brought the PUMA Sport smartwatch to the Indian market. Like most smartwatches in the market, the PUMA smartwatch (PT9100) comes with a host of health and convenience-related features. The smartwatch is based on Google’s WearOS. It is said to be designed to help athletes train, track goals and connect with others on the go. Let’s find out what the smartwatch offers out of the box:

The PUMA Smartwatch features a 1.19-inch display with an AMOLED panel in a 44mm circular dial. It is ultra-lightweight with aluminum casing and the strap is made of textured silicone which is skin-friendly. The wearable device is water-resistant up to 5ATM. There is also a watch crown with a small PUMA logo on it. The PUMA Smartwatch can be availed in three colour options – Yellow with a matching neon yellow dial, White with a rose gold dial and Black with a grey dial. Users can choose from various interactive dial options like a ‘Scorecard’ dial that displays time, date and heart rate. Users also get the ability to customise the information they can quickly view at a glance.
The PUMA Smartwatch is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 processor. It is paired with 512MB RAM and 4GB of onboard storage. The device is equipped with a heart rate monitor, built-in GPS, and support for tracking various activities. With Google Fit, users can track activities like pilates, rowing or spinning, and count reps from strength training workouts such as pushups. The Google Fit app can also track heart rate in workout mode. The PUMA Smartwatch comes with the brand’s own TRAC app that lets users leave their phones at home and monitor running patterns like pace, distance, heart rate and calories on the device itself. The smartwatch comes with Google Assistant allowing users to give commands, set reminders and more. It provides real-time weather updates, support for controlling music playback, and smart notifications. Users can also receive/reject incoming calls.
The PUMA Smartwatch comes with various sensors like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, altimeter, accelerometer and gyroscope. It also features a built-in NFC chip that allows users to make payments via the Google Pay app. The smartwatch is compatible with Android and iOS devices. PUMA claims that its smartwatch is capable of delivering battery life up to two days on a single charge and can be topped up fully in two hours via fast charging.
