- The ecoDryft will take on the crowded commuter motorcycle market
- PURE EV is also known for the eTryst 350 motorcycle, which debuted in August
- The company will offer more details on availability early next month
Electric motorcycle manufacturer PURE EV has previously launched impressive vehicles such as the eTryst 350. The company is now expanding its lineup of e-motorcycles with the unveiling of the ecoDryft. It must be noted that although the company has provided some details about the bike, it is yet to provide info on the pricing and precise availability of the vehicle.
On closer inspection of the pictures revealed by PURE EV, the ecoDryft resembles a slew of existing petrol-based bikes that are lighter on the wallets. The company has also shared that the ecoDryft has a top speed of 75 kmph and will be sold in four colourways, including red, blue, grey, and black.
PURE EV ecoDryft range
Another tidbit of information shared by the company tells us that the ecoDryft can run for up to 135 km on a full charge. This is thanks to a 3 kWh battery pack developed and patented by PURE EV with an AIS-156 certification. PURE EV claims that the battery is designed for Indian conditions, which can often change with geography.
While we don’t know how much the ecoDryft will cost, it’s clear that the company is targeting the crowded commuter motorcycle segment, currently dominated by Hero, TVS, and Honda, to name a few.
PURE EV ecoDryft expected price in India
Considering the competition, the ecoDryft will likely cost well below Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom). The company’s more-powerful electric motorcycle, the eTryst 350, starts from just over Rs 1.5 lakhs in India. PURE EV will formally launch the vehicle in early January while also providing availability and pricing details.
