Qubo Baby Cam smart baby monitor with Alexa integration launched in India: price, specifications

Last year, Hero Electronix entered the smart home automation market under its Qubo brand. Earlier in May this year, the company had expanded its Qubo lineup with the launch of its home security camera in India. Now Hero Electronix has introduced the Qubo Baby Cam that focusses on children and is claimed to act as a virtual baby attendant.

Hero Electronix CEO Nikhil Rajpal said in a statement, With the launch of Qubo Baby Cam, we are providing a first of its kind in India – comprehensive baby monitoring product that is reliable, secure, designed in India, and tailored to address the needs of Indian parents.”

The Qubo Baby Cam is a smart baby monitor

The Qubo Baby Cam functions as a video baby monitor letting parents monitor and interact from anywhere. The device features a 1080p FHD camera with support for night vision. It comes with two-way talk with echo cancellation allowing parents to stay in touch with babysitters or children in their absence. The Qubo Baby Cam has a penguin-shaped design that blends with kid’s room decor. 

The Qubo Baby Cam is backed by artificial intelligence features like baby cry alert that instantly notifies the parents if the baby is crying. There is a Smart Virtual Cradle feature that alerts parents if their baby leaves the designated safe zone. The device can also play a customised lullaby if the child moves or starts crying. The Qubo Baby Cam can also capture a timelapse video of the child’s daily activities. The device works with the Alexa voice assistant as well. 

The Qubo Baby Cam features military-grade Q-crypto secured data streaming with cloud storage servers located in India. This keeps data transmission between the devices protected by standardized cryptographic algorithms.

The Qubo Baby Cam is priced at Rs 7,490. It will be available for purchase across Amazon, FirstCry and retail outlets starting today. At the time of writing this story, the Qubo Baby Cam is on sale for Rs 5,990 on Amazon.
