Hero Electronics launches Qubo-branded smart indoor camera and sensors in India

Hero Electronix is foraying into smart home automation with the launch of a new brand called Qubo. The products launched include a smart indoor camera, smart gas sensor, smart smoke sensor and smart door/window sensor.

Hero Qubo AI-powered devices: specifications and features

The Qubo smart indoor camera comes with an ability to shoot full HD videos and pictures. It also supports encrypted video streaming and storage which can be expanded by up to 128GB via a microSD card. It has a 140-degree field of view, night vision and 2-way audio. AI-enhancement provides features like person detection, face recognition and baby crying alerts. The camera also houses a Qualcomm chip on the inside and built-in Alexa Assistant. People can access services like news, music, weather and reminders with voice commands.

With the Safe Home feature, the indoor camera provides instant notifications when an unknown person is detected inside the home and the owner’s not inside. A siren would also ring in this situation with the help of smart routines. It can also be used as a smart hub to control and remotely manage devices through Amazon Alexa.

Qubo Smart Gas Sensor

The smart smoke sensor only works with the Qubo smart indoor camera. It comes with a battery life of up to three years and alerts the user before a mishap can take place. The gas sensor alerts the user about a gas leakage inside the house. The sensor is AC powered and works with the indoor camera. It can detect CNG and LPG leakage while it reportedly features a low power consumption design. Both of these sensors are Zigbee compliant as well.

The Qubo door sensor alerts the user whenever a door/window is opened. This sensor is Zigbee compliant, works with the smart indoor camera and features up to one year of battery life.

Hero Qubo AI-powered devices: price and availability

The Qubo smart indoor camera is priced at Rs 13,490 while all the sensors carry a price tag of Rs 3,000 each. All the products will be available for buying from September 27th on Qubo’s website, e-commerce stores and retail outlets.
