The movie stars Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishnan, Brahmanandam, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Shivathmika Rajashekar, Aadarsh Balakrishna, Rahul Sipligunj, Ali Reza, and others. Raghava Rao (Prakash Raj) is a theatre artist who has become famous in his profession. He is given the title Ranga Maarthaanda for his unparalleled contribution to the art. However, as Raghava Rao grows old, he decides to retire from his profession and divides his wealth among his children, Sri (Shivathmika Rajasekhar) and Ranga (Aadarsh Balakrishna). Unfortunately, his children mistreat him and his wife, Raju Garu (Ramya Krishnan), from then on. The rest of the story revolves around the drama that unfolds between Ranga Maarthaanda Raghava Rao and his children.

Ranga Maarthaanda is an engaging story of a theatre artist. The movie stands out for the outstanding performances of Prakash Raj and Brahmanandam and the drama in the second half. However, the predictability factor and sluggish narration may detract from the experience to some extent. Nevertheless, the emotional quotient of Ranga Maarthaanda makes it worth a watch.
