Produced by Aha Videos and Magizh Mandram, Ratha Saatchi is directed by Rafiq Ismail, and stars Kanna Ravi, Mimmo, Harish Kumar, Kalyan Master, Madras Charles, and Kumaravel in pivotal roles. The story as mentioned is penned by Jeyamohan, and makers believe that the plot deserved to be presented as a movie as well.

Ratha Saatchi: Message from the Makers

The first look of Ratha Saatchi was shared by the makers in mid-November whereby the lead, Kanna Ravi, was seen against the backdrop of a burning forest, sporting a feisty look, sitting on top of an elephant. As per reports, several critics considered aspects from the poster as symbols of communism.

Talking about the film, the writer of the film, in a recently published interview said, “A director named Rafiq Ismail approached me and asked for permission to make ‘Kaithigal’ into a film. Within three months of this happening, ace director Mani Ratnam considered adapting this story for the screen.. Later, renowned director Vetrimaran too approached me to acquire the rights of the story. I informed them that the story has already been given to Rafiq.”
