Realme 3 Pro software update brings dark mode and October 2019 security patch

The Realme 3 Pro just received the Android security patch update for October via the latest software update. The update also brings the all-new Dark Mode and some other vital features. The 2.74GB update can also be downloaded manually if users do not want to wait for the update to commence automatically.  The update comes with the build number RMX1851EX_11_A.20 OTA. Apart from the aforementioned features, it brings a new charging animation and quick toggle between both SIM cards. The firmware has been optimised to deliver a better gaming experience. Notification dots for updates, Realme Laboratory, a new swipe down function for the notification menu for global search from the home screen, and the removal of a prompt when the phone is rooted or hotspot is enabled have also been added through the new update.

Realme announced that in order to ensure stability, the update will be rolled out in stages. The OTA will reach a limited number of users initially, followed by a mass rollout once all glitches have been identified and fixed. Realme 3 Pro Specifications and Pricing

Launched back in April 2019, the Realme 3 Pro flaunts a 6.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The display has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, a screen-to-body ratio of 83.7 percent and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC with up 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. The device runs the Android 9.0 Pie-based ColorOS 6 and is upgradable to Android 10.

The primary camera on the Realme 3 Pro is a 16-megapixel unit with dual-pixel PDAF, along with a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The selfie camera uses a 25-megapixel sensor with an aspect ratio of f/2.0 and HDR. The device draws power from a 4,045mAh battery that supports 20W fast chargung. It features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB OTG.

Prices for the Realme 3 Pro start at Rs 9,999  for the 4GB + 64GB variant, while the 6GB + 64GB version is available for Rs 11,999. The 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 12,999. The device is available in three colour options – Nitro Blue, Carbon Grey, and Lightning Purple.
