Realme 3 Specs Confirmed Via Geekbench Listing Ahead of Launch on March 4

Realme recently announced its plans of launching the Realme 3 budget Android smartphone in India on March 4. The upcoming smartphone has now surfaced on the Geekbench benchmark database, confirming the presence of a MediaTek Helio P70 SoC under the hood.

Realme 3 RMX1825 Variant to be Powered by a Helio P70 SoC

The Realme 3 RMX1825 variant has been caught on Geekbench running on a MediaTek Helio P70 SoC. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth had recently confirmed that the Realme 3 will indeed be powered by the Helio P70 chipset, so the information revealed by the listing is definitely not surprising. In terms of memory, the RMX1825 variant caught on Geekbench features 4GB of RAM. However, the base variant of the smartphone is rumored to include 3GB of RAM. Some reports have also suggested that the Realme 3 may be powered by a Helio P60 SoC in markets outside India. However, this has not been officially confirmed (or denied) yet. The Realme 3 variant only scored 1,474 points in the single-core test and 5,132 points in the multi-core test. Both the scores are on the lower side when compared to the average scores achieved by smartphones powered by the MediaTek Helio P70 chipset on Geekbench. That said, we expect the final retail models to perform on par with other Helio P70-powered smartphones on Geekbench as well as other benchmarking platforms.

In addition to the Geekbench listing, the same RMX1825 variant of the Realme 3 was caught on camera with an AnTuTu score of 1,37,976 points yesterday, thanks to leakster Ishan Agarwal.. The leaked image confirmed the presence of a waterdrop notch at the top of the display. While the smartphone will have relatively thin bezels, you should not expect any major improvement in the screen-to-body ratio compared to the Realme 2. On the back, the Realme 3 will have a vertically-stacked dual-camera setup and a circular fingerprint sensor. In terms of software, as confirmed by the Geekbench listing above, the Realme 3 is going to ship with Android 9.0 Pie-based ColorOS 6.0 out of the box.
