The Realme 4K Google TV Stick will be the brand’s first-ever streaming device. It will compete against Amazon’s Fire TV Sticks and Mi TV Stick (review) in the Indian market. We can expect Realme to reveal more details on its upcoming offering in the coming days.

Realme 4K Google TV Stick to launch soon

The Flipkart listing doesn’t reveal any key specifications on the Realme 4K Google TV Stick. However, going by the teaser, it looks similar to Amazon’s Fire TV Sticks and the Mi TV Stick that feature a rectangular design. There is a Realme branding and a small LED light on the top while a USB-C port can be seen located on the left side of the device. It will be available in a black colour.

Users can use the streaming device by plugging it into their television’s HDMI port. As the name suggests, the Realme 4K Google TV Stick will offer support for 4K UHD content. It is also expected to run Google TV instead of the Android TV operating system. Both are different in terms of user interface with the former said to offer simpler, user-specific content recommendations and more features.

The Realme 4K Google TV Stick is expected to feature dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity. Realme is also expected to bundle a remote to control the streaming device.

Plug-in streaming devices are quite useful for people who don’t wish to upgrade their old televisions but also wish for smart features like access to OTT platforms, screen mirroring, and more.
