Realme has released new software updates for the Realme 5 Pro and X2 Pro handsets. Both the smartphones are receiving the new ColorOS update, which brings the latest January Android 2020 security patch for both the devices. The firmware number of the Realme 5 Pro is RMX1971EX_11.A.18. As of the Realme X2 Pro, the phone’s latest software version is RMX1992EX_11.A.18. The latest software update for the Realme 5 Pro and Realme X2 Pro is being rolled out over the air in phases, so not all the units of these devices will get the update at the same time. Apart from the Android security patch for January, the update also fixes some critical bugs.
Talking about the changelog, the Realme 5 Pro’s software update fixes the VoLTE (voice over LTE) call drop issue for Reliance Jio subscribers. In addition, the new update fixes the issue that caused the automated clean up of the third-party sports app, when the phone is locked in the background. The update weighs 2.82GB.
As for the Realme X2 Pro, its new firmware fixes the error prompt problem while you are making video call using WhatsApp. The update optimises the navigation menu display in your phone’s settings. Also, the issue that prevents album data from being deleted has been fixed. In addition, there’s a revamped charging animation display where the decimal point will not be displayed after charging for 20 seconds. The Realme X2 Pro’s newest software update tips the scales at 2.56GB.
