Realme has launched the 128GB variant of the Realme 5i in India. The smartphone was made official in early January. The handset was initially made available in a 64GB version. The basic specifications of the device remain the same on the newly announced 128GB model. The highlights of the Realme 5i include a massive 5,000mAh battery, waterdrop notch, rear mounted fingerprint scanner, and a quad rear camera setup. The Realme 5i rivals the Redmi Note 8, which flaunts 4GB and 6GB of RAM along with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage, respectively. Both smartphones feature a similar price tag in the country. Customers can now choose between two storage options when buying the Realme 5i. The smartphone is only available with 4GB of RAM, which is a downer compared to the 6GB variant of the Redmi Note 8.

The quad-camera setup consists of a 12-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone flaunts an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Powering the Realme 5i is a 5,000mAh battery with 10W standard charging and reverse charging capabilities. The smartphone runs on the Android 9.0 Pie-based ColorOS 6.1, but is slated to receive an update to Realme UI soon.
