Realme is all set to launch its latest X series smartphone called the Realme X2 Pro in India at an event on November 20th. Apart from the Realme X2 Pro, the company might also release another handset called the Realme 5s at the same event. The e-commerce giant Flipkart has set up a landing page on its website for the Realme X2 Pro, which also displays the text “Realme 5s Coming Soon” on top. This suggests that the phone maker is planning to release the Realme 5s alongside the Realme X2 Pro on November 20th. The Realme 5s has been in the rumour mill from a while and it was recently certified by BIS in India and NBTC in Thailand.
Unfortunately, the page on Flipkart hasn’t revealed anything about the specifications of the Realme 5s. However, earlier reports have suggested that the Realme 5s will be a less powerful version of the Realme 5, and it could be targeted towards those looking for an entry-level device. The handset is expected to be positioned between the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro in India. Sadly, no other details about the Realme 5s are available at the moment.
As far as the Realme 5 is concerned, it is one of the most affordable handsets in the country to offer four cameras at the back. The device has a 12MP ultra-wide angle main camera at the rear, which is aided by an 8MP secondary snapper and a couple of 2MP shooters. The phone offers a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels and a waterdrop notch on top. A Snapdragon 665 processor and a massive 5,000mAh battery keep the package running.
Talking about the pricing, the Realme 5’s price in India starts at Rs 8,999 for the base variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while its most expensive model costs Rs 10,999. This variant offers 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
