Realme 6 and 6 Pro to launch in India on March 5th, key features revealed

Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has shared a new poster that showcases Bollywood celebrity Salman Khan endorsing the Realme 6 series smartphone. The poster confirms that series will include at least two devices such as Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro. These phones will be arriving as successors to the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro phones that were made official in the second half of 2019. The Realme 6 series will be announced on March 5th at 12.30pm in India. Realme India’s website has a landing page which reveals the key features of the upcoming Realme 6 duo.

Realme 6 series to debut on March 5th

The landing page of the Realme 6 series states that the company is receiving blind orders between February 26th and March 4th.  Blind orders ensure a 100 percent chance to purchase the upcoming Realme 6 series in advance. Interested buyers are required to pay Rs 1,000 as a deposit during the said period. The balance amount can be paid on the first sale date of the Realme 6 series which is March 15th. The ordered Realme 6 or Realme 6 Pro units will be dispatched once the balance amount is paid.

Buyers who participate in blind orders for the Realme 6 series will receive Realme Buds 2 as a free gift. On the other hand, people who take part in the blind order for the Realme 6 Pro will receive a Rs 1,000 discount coupon which can be used for purchasing the Realme Buds Wireless. The Rs. 1,000 discount amount will be credited to buyers of the Realme 6 Pro on March 16th.

Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro specifications and features

The Realme 6 has a punch-hole placed at the top-left corner of the screen. The feature is dubbed as in-display selfie camera by the company. The Realme 6 Pro features an elliptical punch-hole that includes dual selfie cameras. The display will be equipped with a 90Hz refresh rate.

The Realme 6 Pro will arrive with 30W fast charging technology. The rear side of the Realme 6 feature a vertical quad camera setup. The camera system of the Realme 6 Pro features a 64-megapixel main camera, an ultrawide shooter, a telephoto lens with 20x hybrid zoom support and an ultra macro lens. It is unclear whether the Realme 6 also features a 90Hz refresh rate display, 30W fast charging support and a 64-megapixel lens as primary shooter in its quad camera setup. The detailed specs of both phones haven’t surfaced yet.

The appearance of the Realme 6 Pro is similar to the Realme X50 that is currently only available in China. The other features of the Realme 6 Pro also match the X50.  It remains to be seen whether the Realme 6 Pro arrives as a rebranded version of the Realme X50 in India.
