Realme 6 and 6 Pro with 90Hz displays and 30W fast charging launched in India, prices start at Rs 12,999

A few weeks ago, Realme launched its flagship X50 Pro 5G (first impressions) smartphone in India. Now the brand has announced the Realme 6 series consisting of a standard Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro. Prior to launch, Realme had teased most of the specifications and features of its latest smartphone. The smartphone maker also revealed that the standard Realme 6 is not the successor to last year’s Realme 5. Both the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro share a few identical specifications. Let’s find out what the smartphones offer out of the box:

Realme 6 Pro specifications and features

Starting with the Realme 6 Pro, the smartphone sports a 6.6-inch LCD display bearing FHD+ resolution. There is a pill-shaped camera cutout at the top left corner and the device offers a 90.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. The device features a 90Hz refresh rate screen and a 120Hz touch sampling rate. The display is shielded by Gorilla Glass 5. Design-wise, the Realme 6 Pro is available in Lightning Blue and Lightning Orange colour options. It flaunts a glass back panel with vertically stacked quad-camera setup at the top left corner. The smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. The Realme 6 Pro is also equipped with a super linear speaker with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio. 

In the imaging department, the Realme 6 Pro quad-camera setup comprises of a 64MP main Samsung GW1 sensor, a 12MP telephoto shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth camera. The telephoto sensor offers 20x zoom capabilities. Camera features on the device include night mode, ultra steady video, portrait mode, HDR, ultra macro, chroma boost and bokeh effect. Up front, the smartphone is fitted with dual 16MP and 8MP cameras. The Realme 6 Pro offers up to 4k video recording at 30fps and slow-mo video recording up to 1080p at 120 fps. 

Under the hood, the Realme 6 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 720G processor paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. The device offers up to 128GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot. The Realme 6 Pro is backed by a 4,300mAh battery with support for 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging. Software-wise, the device runs Android 10 with Realme UI on top. On the connectivity front, the Realme 6 Pro features a USB-C port, a 3.5mm jack, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and L1+L5 dual-frequency GPS. The smartphone also supports ISRO’s NaVIC navigation system. 

Realme 6 specifications and features

Coming to the standard Realme 6, the device is a toned-down variant of the Realme 6 Pro. However, the device comes with major upgrades compared to the Realme 5. The Realme 6 has a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a single punch-hole cutout. It is offered in Comet White and Comet Blue colour options. The standard variant retains the Pro variant’s quad-cameras. However, apart from the 64MP primary sensor, the setup consists of an 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP mono and 2MP macro sensor. The device offers 10x digital zoom and features a 16MP selfie snapper on the front. 

The Realme 6 Pro is equipped with a gaming-centric MediaTek Helio G90T processor paired with Mali-G76 GPU onboard. The smartphone is offered in three RAM and storage configurations up to 8GB and 128GB respectively. 

The rest of the specifications of the Realme 6 remain the same as the Pro model. This includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 4,300mAh battery with 30W fast charging support, dedicated microSD card slot, USB-C port, Widevine L1 certification and the various camera-related features.

Realme 6 and 6 Pro price in India

The Realme 6 base variant i.e. 4GB + 64GB is priced at 12,999. The 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants carry price tags of Rs 14,999 and 15,999 respectively. The base version i.e. 6GB+64GB of Pro variant will cost Rs 16,999. The 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB configuration will retail at Rs 17,999 and Rs 18,999 respectively. The Realme 6 and 6 Pro will be available for purchase starting from 11th and 13th March respectively on Flipkart, realme.com and offline stores near you.
