Realme 6 and Realme 6i get a price cut in India: check new prices here

Last week, Realme launched the Realme 7 series of phones consisting of a standard and Pro variant. The smartphones debuted as the successor to the Realme 6 series that was announced in March this year. Now Realme has slashed the prices of the Realme 6 and 6i smartphones by Rs 1,000.

The price drop has been applied on all four RAM and storage variants of the Realme 6, while the 6i gets a price cut only on the 6GB RAM model. The latter’s base variant retails at the same price as the launch price. The latest prices are reflected on Realme’s website as well as Flipkart.

The Realme 6 starts at Rs 13,999 instead of Rs 14,999 for the 4GB + 64GB configuration. The 6GB+  64GB variant’s price is down to Rs 14,999 from Rs 15,999, while the 6GB + 128GB model is now available for Rs 15,999 instead of Rs 16,999. Lastly, the top-end 8GB + 128GB option can be purchased at Rs 16,999 instead of Rs 17,999. 

As for the Realme 6i, the smartphone’s 6GB + 64GB variant will now retail at Rs 13,999 instead of Rs 14,999. 

Realme 6 and 6i specifications and features

The Realme 6 and 6i are almost identical in terms of specifications. Both smartphones feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole camera. The Realme 6 and 6i are powered by a MediaTek Helio G90T processor. While the former is offered in four configurations up to 8GB and 128GB, the latter maxes out at 6GB RAM and 64GB storage.

The Realme 6 also features a quad-camera setup comprising a 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP mono and 2MP macro sensors. The Realme 6i is packed with a downgraded 48MP main shooter, with the remaining sensors being the same as the Realme 6. Both smartphones are fitted with a 16MP front-facing camera. 

The Realme 6 and 6i are backed by a 4,300mAh and 4,500mAh batteries respectively with support for 30W fast charging. The smartphones come with side-mounted fingerprint scanners, dedicated microSD card slots, Widevine L1 certification and USB-C ports.
