At Realme‘s camera innovation event, the brand confirmed it will be launching its first 64MP camera phone by Diwali. Additionally, the brand announced it will be bringing quad-camera modules to future Realme, Pro and X series phones. While the brand hasn’t confirmed the name of its first 64MP phone, it is likely to be the Realme X Pro.
Realme will be using Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor and Tetracell technology, which combines four pixels into one and produces brighter images in low-light conditions. From the image below, it appears that all Realme’s quad camera phones will feature a vertical setup. There’s no physical fingerprint sensor visible on the Realme X series device, which pretty much confirms it will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The quad-cameras on these phones will host features like Ultra Resolution, Super Wide Angle, Ultra Macro, Ultra Nightscape, Chroma Boost and Expert Mode.
In related news, Xiaomi announced its own plan to launch a 64MP Redmi device in the country in Q4 2019.
