Realme 7 5G is launching on November 19th, could be a rebadged Realme V5 5G

In September, Realme unveiled the Realme 7 (review) and Realme 7 Pro smartphones in India. Later in the same month, Realme announced the Realme 7i phone in Indonesia. The company unveiled the Realme 7i along with the Realme 7 Pro Sun Kissed Leather Edition in October. Now, the brand has confirmed that it will be holding an online event on November 19th in the U.K. to announce the Realme 7 5G smartphone.

Earlier this week, the Realme 7 5G was spotted with its Realme RMX2111 model number in the database of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand. The same model number also belongs to the Realme V5 5G phone that was announced in China in August. Hence, it is likely that the company may rebrand the Realme V5 5G as the Realme 7 5G in the U.K. and some other markets like Thailand.

Realme 7 5G specifications (Rumoured)

The Realme 7 5G will be the first 5G-ready phone in this series. The launch poster released by Realme UK shows that the Realme 7 5G has a punch-hole display and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The company is yet to reveal any information on its specifications.

Realme V5 5G specifications

The Realme V5 5G has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen that produces a Full HD+ resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. The Dimensity 720 5G chipset is present at the helm of the device with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The phone is equipped with an internal storage of 128GB and it has an external storage slot.

The Android 10 OS along with Realme UI comes preinstalled on the device. It has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W rapid charging technology. It has a selfie camera of 16-megapixel and a quad-camera system that includes a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It features a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
