Earlier this March, Realme launched the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro smartphones with 64MP quad-cameras and 90Hz displays. Now, the brand appears to be working on the successor to the Realme 6 series. Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth took to Twitter to share a cryptic tweet saying that he was ‘busy making two new smartphones’ along with the hashtag #BuildingTheFaster7.

Sheth has also changed his name on Twitter to ‘Madhav Faster 7’ hinting at the upcoming launch of the Realme 7 series. He is seen holding the phone in Green hue if you look at the tweet closely. As per tipster Mukul Sharma, the Realme 7 series is slated to debut in India in the first week of September.

Realme 7 series specifications and features

Details about the upcoming Realme 7 and 7 Pro are scarce at the moment. The Pro variant was spotted on various certification sites including BIS, WiFi Alliance, Indonesia Telecom, EEC and Indonesia TKDN. The latest NBTC listing suggests that the device could pack 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. We expect Realme to reveal more details about the upcoming series in the coming weeks.

In other news, Realme is launching a new smartphone lineup called Realme X7 series in China on September 1st. Both the standard and Pro models are confirmed to feature punch-hole displays and a 120Hz refresh rate panel. The devices will also offer 5G connectivity. Other expected specifications on the X7 series include 64MP quad-cameras, 32MP selfie snapper and 65W fast charging.
