Realme 7, Realme 7 Pro with 90Hz displays and 64MP quad cameras launched in India: price, specifications

Earlier in March this year, Realme had launched its Realme 6 and 6 Pro smartphones. Later in July, the brand introduced another device in the lineup called the Realme 6i. Now five months later, Realme has unveiled the Realme 7 series. Like its predecessor, the latest offering also comes in standard and Pro variants.

The Realme 7 series retains a few specs from its predecessors, but features a rectangular camera module on the back panel. The standard and Pro variants are quite different from each other. Let’s take a look at the latest smartphones below.

Realme 7 and 7 Pro specifications and features

The Realme 7 and 7 Pro come with a few upgrades over their predecessors

Beginning with the display, both the Realme 7 and 7 Pro sport 6.5-inch screens bearing FHD+ resolution with 90Hz refresh rates. The former features an LCD panel, while the latter comes with an OLED display. The smartphone’s punch-hole camera lights up around the edges when using facial recognition or the front camera.

The standard Realme 7 retains the side-mounted fingerprint scanner from the Realme 6, whereas the Pro variant comes with an in-display scanner. On the back, the Realme 7 series sport a rectangular camera module at the top left corner. The smartphones feature a dual-finish back panel that is similar to the Realme C11. 

On the imaging front, the Realme 7 series are equipped with quad-cameras. The setup comprises a 64MP main Sony IMX682 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP BnW unit and a 2MP macro shooter. The smartphones offer various camera modes and features including pro nightscape, starry mode, expert mode, HDR, ultra macro, slow motion and more.

In the front, the Realme 7 features a 16MP selfie camera, while the Pro variant is fitted with a 32MP snapper. Both smartphones offer up to 4K video recording at 30fps. 

The Realme 7 is the world’s first smartphone to be equipped with the recently announced MediaTek Helio G95 gaming processor. It also features a carbon fibre cooling system to keep the temperature low. On the other hand, the Realme 7 Pro houses the same Snapdragon 720G chipset that powers the Realme 6 Pro. The Realme 7 series is offered with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. Both devices feature a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The Realme 7 draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging. The Pro variant is backed by a smaller 4,500mAh battery, but with support for 65W SuperDART fast charging. Software-wise, both smartphones run Realme UI based on Android 10. 

Connectivity options on the Realme 7 series include Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS and USB-C port. The Pro variant also features ISRO’s NavIC and comes with dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

Realme 7 and 7 Pro specifications and features

The Realme 7’s base variant i.e. 6GB + 64GB is priced at Rs 14,999 while the 8GB + 128GB model will cost Rs 16,999. The Realme 7 Pro’s 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB configurations carry a price tag of Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999 respectively. The Realme 7  and 7 Pro will go on sale on September 10th and September 14th at 12pm respectively. Both devices will be available for purchase on Flipkart and and soon in offline stores. The standard and Pro variants of Realme 7 are offered in Mist/Mirror White and Mist/Mirror Blue colours respectively.
