- Realme has teased the launch of the first smartphone powered by Dimensity 810
- As per past reports, it is expected to be the Realme 8s
- Notably, the existence of Realme 8s has been confirmed alongside the Realme 8i
Realme CEO Madhav Sheth asked Twitter users if they want the brand to launch an industry-first smartphone powered by MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor. However, he didn’t explicitly reveal the name of the upcoming smartphone. The chipset was announced yesterday alongside the Dimensity 920 SoC.
Last week, in an AskMadhav episode, Sheth had confirmed the launch of Realme 8i and Realme 8s. At the same time, 91mobiles had exclusively shared leaked renders and specifications of the Realme 8s confirming that it is indeed a Dimensity 810 powered smartphone.

The launch date of Realme 8s is not known yet but we can expect it to debut later this month alongside the Realme 8i. The Realme 8 series already consists of the standard (review), Pro (review) and 5G (review) variants.
Realme 8s specifications and features (expected)
The Realme 8s will sport a 6.5-inch display bearing FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. As per the renders, it will feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a rectangular camera module housing 64MP quad-sensors. The smartphone will reportedly have a 16MP front-facing snapper.
As for the internals, the Realme 8s will be powered by Dimensity 810 SoC that is based on 6nm architecture with Cortex A-76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz. The chipset is paired with Mali-G57 GPU and the device packs up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It also supports 5G connectivity, WiFi-6, and Bluetooth 5.2. The Realme 8s is tipped to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging via a Type-C port.
