Realme 8s entered the Indian market as the first smartphone with a Dimensity 810 chip processor. The 5G smartphone is packed with some premium specifications, making it one of the most competitive devicesin the sub-Rs 20,000 price segment.

At this price point, the Realme 8s goes up against Realme’s own Narzo 30 Pro as well as the iQOO Z3. These handsets offer similar specifications and price. If you’re wondering which device to pick among the three, here’s a detailed specifications-based comparison to help you decide.

The Realme 8s is priced at Rs 17,999 for the base model with 6GB + 128GB configuration which goes up to 8GB + 128GB for the higher variant retailing at Rs 19,999. The smartphone will be available on realme.com as well as Flipkart. It comes in two colours – Universal Blue and Universal purple.

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro is priced at Rs 16,999 for the base 6GB + 64GB variant.  The second variant is the 8GB + 128GB model which is priced at Rs 19,999. The smartphone comes with two colour options – Blade Silver and Sword Black. 

Talking about iQOO Z3, it comes in three variants, such as 6GB+ 128GB, 8GB+ 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. These are priced at Rs 19,990, Rs 20,990 and Rs 22,990 respectively. 

Users who wish to purchase Realme 8s have to wait for a few days because the phone is not available on Flipkart or realme.com yet, and will go on sale starting September 13th. However, Realme Narzo 30 Pro and iQOO Z3 can be purchased today from the official websites and e-commerce stores.

The Realme 8s 5G has a 6.5-inch 90Hz display with FHD+ resolution. The Realme Narzo 30 Pro also sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ panel, but with a smoother 120Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. iQOO is not behind these smartphones because it also offers a 6.5-inch 120Hz panel FHD+ panel with a 180Hz touch sampling rate. However, the iQOO offering comes with a dated waterdrop notch, which might not sit well with many.

If we compare these three smartphones, Realme Narzo 30 Pro and iQOO Z3 win on the basis of the higher refresh rate and touch sampling rate.

Being the only smartphone in India with the Dimensity 810 processor chip, the Realme 8S 5G excels at 5G operations. Furthermore, the smartphone comes with Dynamic RAM Expansion Technology, which increases the RAM by up to 5GB. 

The Realme Narzo 30 Pro comes with the previous-gen Dimensity 800U chipset, while the iQOO Z3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G processors, respectively. According to online reviews of these processors, while Dimensity 810 comes as a significant improvement over the 800U, it comes ahead by a whisker against Snapdragon 768.

While comparing these three smartphones, Realme 8s is the winner here and all the credits go to the new and advanced Dimensity 810 chip.

As for the camera comparison, Realme 8s has a triple camera setup with a single 64MP Ultra HD main camera, which supports Nightscape. The main camera comes equipped with an F1.8 aperture, 80.5° FOV, and 6P lens combination. The primary camera is backed by BnW and Macro sensors of 2MP each. Apart from the rear camera, the smartphone features a 16MP AI Beauty selfie camera. The selfie camera has a large aperture of 2.1 with a 5P lens.

The iQOO Z3 boasts a triple camera setup as well. The main camera is the 64MP shooter supported by the GW3 sensor. Thanks to the 0.7μm-sized pixels on the GW3 sensor, iQOO Z3 clicks superb pictures in every condition or light setting. As for the second camera, the 16MP clicks wide 120° shots, accompanied by the 4cm super macro lens for unmatched photography. 

Lastly, the Realme Naro 30 Pro also features a triple camera setup on the back but with a lower resolution 48MP primary camera. The main camera is backed by an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G features a 16MP camera for selfies and video calling.

While both Realme 8s and iQOO Z3 5G feature a 64MP primary lens and 2MP macro sensor, the latter comes out on top here because of the 8MP wide-angle lens.

The Realme 8s boasts a massive 5,000mAh battery and also supports 33W fast charging. The battery is designed with five layers of safe charging protection, which provides constant charging and consumes less power. 

Additionally, Realme 8s comes packed with the new Smart 5G power-saving technology, which saves power by continuously adapting the system resources to its surroundings. Like Realme 8s, the Realme Narzo 30 Pro also comes equipped with a 5,000mAh massive battery capacity but with slightly slower 30W charging.

As for the iQOO Z3, it features a 4,400mAh battery that supports fast charging of 55W. In comparison to Realme 8s and Realme Narzo 30 Pro, it lacks power by a small margin. Other than that, iQOO Z3 is still a powerful smartphone with amazing features and a reasonable price.

If you’re looking for a gaming smartphone, the iQOO Z3 wins hands down with its Snapdragon 768G chipset, 120Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It also offers commendable cameras and the fastest charging, making it a truly all round device.

The Realme 8s boasts a newer Dimensity 810 chipset compared to the Narzo 30 Pro 5G’s Dimensity 800 SoC, however, it offers a 90Hz refresh rate instead of 120Hz on the latter. The two smartphones are pretty neck and neck on other counts. Either would be a good choice if you want a 5G handset on a budget, however, the Narzo 30 Pro has the advantage of a slightly cheaper price tag.
