Reports have claimed that the Realme 9 lineup also includes other models – Realme 9, Realme 9i 5G, Realme 9A. Sheth has confirmed that there are no plans to launch the Realme 9i 5G in India. As far as Realme 9 and 9A are concerned, there is no information on the arrival of these products. The upcoming Realme 9 Pro lineup is expected to rival the Redmi Note 11S and other Note 11 lineup models in the country.

Realme 9 Pro, Pro+ India launch confirmed

As can be seen in the above tweet by Sheth, the Realme 9 and 9 Pro+ will be released soon in India. It is unclear whether these models will be made official before the end of this month. Earlier this month, reliable tipster Mukul Sharma claimed that the Realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ will be debuting in February in India.

Realme 9 Pro renders by SmartPrix / OnLeaks

Last week, SmartPrix shared the leaked renders and specifications of the Realme 9 Pro. The leak revealed that the smartphone will feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The Snapdragon 695 chipset is expected to power the device with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of native storage. The handset will draw power from a 5,000mAh battery. For photography, it will feature a 16-megapixel front camera and a 64-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit. It may come in colours like Aurora Green and Sunrise Blue, apart from the black variant shown above.

The Realme 9 Pro+ specifications are under the wraps. However, the CQC certification of the device revealed that it will carry support for 65W fast charging. There is a possibility that the Realme 9 Pro will also offer the same charging capabilities. Being a Pro+ model, it may come with some enhanced specs as compared to the 9 Pro.

Realme 9i 5G edition will not launch in India

Since Realme has been consistently launching several 5G-ready smartphones in the Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 price bracket, it was being speculated that there could be a 5G version of the Realme 9i. When Sheth was asked by 91mobiles on why there isn’t a 5G version of the Realme 9i, he replied, “Being a 5G leader, Realme will keep democratizing the market with its 5G smartphones. But at the same time, we want to cater to the needs of a diverse range of consumers. While 5G has grown popular and consumers are willing to purchase 5G-enabled devices, we understand that a significant share of our users still look for 4G devices. Therefore, Realme will continue to bring in 4G devices as well to ensure that all its users can experience the latest technologies.”
