Realme’s upcoming smartphone in the Realme 9 series will come with a 108MP primary camera. The brand announced today that the main snapper will feature a Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor. The upcoming offering will be the second device after the Realme 8 Pro to sport a 108MP camera.

The new image sensor from Samsung comes with NonaPixel Plus technology that is said to be upgraded from the traditional 3Sum-3Avg solution to an unprecedented 9Sum readout solution. Compared to the HM2 sensor, the latest image sensor will improve the overall light intake by 123 percent. The low light camera capabilities on the upcoming Realme 9 series phone is claimed to offer brighter and better colour reproduction.
The Samsung ISOCELL HM6 image sensor will support in-sensor ultra-zoom technology with a merging algorithm to create a zoomed-in shot and capturing details clearly.
Although Realme hasn’t explicitly revealed the name of the upcoming Realme 9 series phone, it is expected to be the Realme 9 4G. Earlier today, the smartphone had appeared on the brand’s official website. MySmartPrice reports that the device could launch in India soon. The Realme 9 4G is expected to feature 120Hz or 144Hz 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD display. It will be reportedly powered by an Helio G96 SoC with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The device will likely be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging.
