A little while ago, Chase (Realme CMO) hinted at a potential existence of a 5G smartphone from Realme. Now, he finally confirmed the name of the device as well as some of its features as well. As it turns out, Realme’s first-ever 5G smartphone will be dubbed the Realme X50 5G.
Realme X50 to have dual-mode 5G and a dual punch-hole camera
Chase has shared a promotional poster for the Realme X50. As per the image, the Realme X50 will have support for dual-mode 5G. Furthermore, we will get to see a dual punch-hole selfie camera coming up with the device. Again, dual punch-hole cameras have pretty much become a trend in the realm of 5G smartphones lately. We have seen the same with the likes of the upcoming devices like the Redmi K30, Huawei Nova 6, Honor V30, and even the OnePlus 8 series of smartphones.
As far as the launch date is concerned, the Realme X50 will most likely get launched in Q1, 2020. The official Weibo post claims that the digit “0” in the X50 represents the upcoming leap year.
“0: represents realme to open 5G leap year”
As of now, this is all we know about the Realme X50 5G, but we are sure to receive further intel on the same in the coming days.
Nevertheless, the recently launched Realme X2 Pro flagship is going to receive ColorOS 7 update on December 18 and we can expect the company to share some more highlights of the upcoming Realme X50 device alongside the update announcement.
