Realme Buds Air truly wireless earbuds launched in India for Rs 3,999

Last month, Realme launched the X2 Pro flagship phone in India. At the end of the event, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth had teased Realme’s upcoming truly wireless earbuds. He had mentioned that they would be made official in December. Today, the company held a launch event in India to announce the Realme X2. At the same event, Realme took the covers off the Realme Buds Air. Enabled with features such as a dynamic bass boost driver, noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5.0 and wireless charging, the Buds Air feature a design that’s almost identical to Apple’s AirPods.

The Realme Buds Air come with a custom Ri chip and Bluetooth 5.0 to establish an instant connection between the earbuds and phone. The dual-channel transmission technology allows the Buds Air to deliver an enhanced audio experience by independently operating each earbud.

The Buds Air are equipped with an imported LPC advanced multi-layer composite diaphragm and a 12mm sound unit that promises a better bass output. The earbuds can be charged by placing them inside the included charging case. The case can be wirelessly charged, by being placed on a 10W wireless charger. Alternatively, you can charge the case using the Type-C port. The company claims that Realme Buds Air will offer up to 17 hours of music playback when they are charged completely. Users can check the battery status of the Buds Air through the paired smartphone.

The Realme Buds Air feature touch controls for accessing different functions. A double-tap allows users to answer a phone call or play/pause music playback. A triple-tap will skip to next song, and a long press will launch the Google Assistant or end a phone call. Long pressing on both earbuds will enter/leave the Gaming Mode.

Speaking of Gaming Mode, this feature optimises gaming and video playback by reducing latency by 51 percent. The Buds Air can intelligently turn off music playback when they are removed from the user’s ears. There is also ENC (Environment Noise Cancellation) technology for effectively filtering out background noise. This also ensures clear sound during voice calls.

The Realme Air Buds come with a full-arc design that can easily fit into the ear canals without causing any discomfort. It is light in weight as each earbud weighs just 4.16 grams.

The Realme Buds Air has arrived with a price tag of Rs 3,999. Apart from Realme India’s online store, the Buds Air will be available exclusively through Flipkart and Realme’s website. The first sale of the new wireless earbuds from Realme will take place on December 23rd. Notably, the brand is hosting a “Hate-to-wait sale” of the accessory at 2pm today. They can be bought in colours like Black, White and Yellow. The company will soon be releasing the Qi wireless charging pad for the accessory in the coming days.
