Realme has already announced that it will launch its Realme X3 series of smartphones comprising the standard Realme X3 and Realme X3 SuperZoom edition in India on June 25th. Notably, the company has already launched the latter in European markets last month. The Realme X3 is a yet-to-be-announced smartphone that will debut in India at the upcoming event.
However, the brand has now announced that it will be launching a pair of wireless earbuds at the same event. The Realme Buds Q in-ear TWS earphones will be launched alongside the Realme X3 series next week, and are designed to take on Xiaomi’s budget Redmi Earbuds S.
Realme Buds Q specifications and features
The Realme Buds Q are designed by the brand in collaboration with the French designer Jose Levy. The company has listed the wireless earphones on the website as well as tweeted the launch announcement. The upcoming earbuds will be offered in Quite Black, Quite White, and Quite Yellow colours. Unlike the previous offerings from the brand, namely the Buds Air and Buds Air Neo, the Realme Buds Q gets rid of the stem design and adopts an in-ear design with silicone ear tips. The upcoming launch features an IPX4 rating for water-resistance.
The Realme Buds Air Q earbuds have a lightweight construct and weigh just 3.6g each. Realme claims that these earbuds are fitted with 10nm drivers designed to deliver punchy bass. The TWS earphones also feature a gaming mode with 119ms low-latency and touch controls for various actions like playing or pausing music, answering calls and more. The Realme Buds Q come with Bluetooth 5.0 to connect to smartphones.
The Realme Buds Q come with a charging case that is rated at 400mAh and offers up to 20 hours of playback on a single charge. The earbuds themselves last up to 4.5 hours on a single charge.
Realme Buds Q pricing and availability
Realme has kept the pricing of Buds Q in India under wraps, but they are priced at RMB 129 (~Rs 1,375) in China, which means they might be in the range of Redmi Earbuds S in India.
