Realme C11 vs Redmi 8A Dual vs Nokia 2.3: price in India, specifications and features compared

Realme has launched its latest C-series smartphone called the Realme C11 in India today. The smartphone comes with a refreshed design and is the first in India to feature the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset. The smartphone comes in as a successor to the Realme C3 and is being offered in a single configuration with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage.

The Realme C11 goes up against the Redmi 8A Dual in India, which also starts at the same price point, but offers more than one variant. Another device that could be a good contender for the new Realme C11 is Nokia’s affordable offering – the Nokia 2.3. Let’s take a look at how these three smartphones stack up against each other.

The Realme C11 and Nokia 2.3 are both being offered in a single configuration in India with 2GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. Realme has priced its latest launch at Rs 7,499. The Nokia 2.3 is officially priced at Rs 9,999 but is available for as little as Rs 8,999 at the time of writing. The Realme C11 will go on sale in India on July 22nd and will be available from Realme.com and Flipkart. The Nokia 2.3 is being sold through the official online stores and major brick-and-mortar stores like Croma, Reliance Digital, and more.

The Redmi 8A Dual, on the other hand, is being sold in three configurations – 2GB + 32GB, 3GB + 32GB and 3GB + 64GB. These models have been priced at Rs 7,499, Rs 8,299 and Rs 8,999, respectively, giving buyers the flexibility to choose a model that will suit their requirements.

In the display department, all three smartphones are equipped with an LCD display panel with HD+ screen resolution and a waterdrop notch on the top. The Redmi 8A Dual and Nokia 2,3  are both fitted with a 6.2-inch display. The Realme C11, on the other hand, comes with a larger 6.5-inch screen.

Out of the three devices, the Realme C11 and Redmi 8A Dual have a layer of protective Gorilla Glass on top. The Nokia 2.3 is missing the protective layer and will need a third-party screen protector to keep scratches at bay.

Coming to the performance, all three smartphones are powered by three difference chipsets. The Realme C11 is the first in the country to be powered by the entry-level gaming processor called MediaTek Helio G35. The chipset is a 12nm octa-core unit with a 2.3GHz clock speed. The Nokia 2.3 gets a Helio A22 processor, which is also a 12nm octa-core chipset but with a slightly lower 2GHz clock speed. The Redmi 8A Dual is the odd one out here with its Snapdragon 439 chipset.

In the software department, the Realme C11 boots the Android 10-based Realme UI out of the box. The Nokia 2.3 was launched with Android 9 but has since received the Android 10 update. The Nokia 2.3 also offers a stock iteration of the Android 10, which is a plus for those who prefer a clean interface. The Redmi 8A Dual, on the other hand, is still on the dated Android 9 Pie with MIUI on topm and there’s no word yet on when it will get the Android 10 update.

Coming to configurations, the Redmi 8A Dual gets the upper hand here because of three variants giving flexibility to its buyers. The Nokia 2.3 and Realme C11, on the other hand, offer just the 2GB RAM variant, limiting the options for their buyers.

With a slightly snappier Snapdragon processor and multiple options, Redmi 8A Dual comes out on top here. While the smartphone is still running Android 9 Pie, we can expect Xiaomi to roll out the Android 10 update in the future.

In the optics department, all three smartphones are equipped with dual cameras on the back with a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. As for the front cameras, the Realme C11 and Nokia 2.3 offer 5-megapixel selfie cameras, while the Redmi 8A Dual bags this round with its 8-megapixel front camera.

The Realme C11 and Redmi 8A Dual both come with huge 5,000mAh batteries. However, the latter is equipped with USB Type-C and supports 18W fast charging. On the flip side, the brand is only offering a 10W charger with the phone and if you want to utilise the fast charging, you will have to separately purchase a fast charger.

The Nokia 2.3 comes with a smaller 4,000mAh battery and misses out on fast charging as well.

It’s clear now that the Redmi 8A Dual comes out on top here with several advantages under its belt including a snappier processor, better selfie camera, USB Type-C port support for fast charging and more options to choose from in terms of configurations. In case you are looking for a cleaner interface, Nokia 2.3 with the stock Android 10 should be your choice. The Realme C11 doesn’t have much going for it, except for the stylish design and big battery.
