Realme recently launched a new variant of its Realme C15 smartphone in India called the Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition. As is evident from the name, the smartphone comes with a Qualcomm processor. The new model retains all other specifications of the standard Realme C15. These include a 6.5-inch LCD display, 13-megapixel quad rear cameras, and a 6,000mAh battery.

Interestingly, the brand has also priced the Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition the same as the standard model, starting at Rs 9,999. At this price, the new model will compete with the likes of the Redmi 9 Prime and Samsung Galaxy M11 in India. Let’s find out how they fare against each other.

The Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition has been launched in 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB variants priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 10,999, respectively. Realme is offering these models for Rs 9,499 and Rs 10,499, respectively for a limited duration as part of an introductory festive offer. The smartphone will go on sale for the first time on October 29th at 12pm on Flipkart and realme.com.

The Redmi 9 Prime comes with a single 4GB RAM configuration but 64GB and 128GB storage depending on the variant. The former is priced at Rs 9,999 and the latter will set you back by Rs 11,999. The smartphone is available to purchase on Mi.com, Amazon, Mi Homes and Mi Studios.

Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy M11 is sold in the same configurations as the Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition with the price set at Rs 10,999 for the 3GB model and Rs 12,999 for the 4GB variant. The smartphone is available at Samsung offline stores, Samsung.com, Amazon and Flipkart.

The Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition has been fitted with a 6.5-inch LCD display bearing HD+ screen resolution and a waterdrop notch. The Samsung Galaxy M11 also comes with an HD+ Infinity-O display but with a slightly smaller 6.4-inch PLS TFT panel. The Redmi 9 Prime offers a 6.53-inch screen with FHD+ resolution and waterdrop notch.

The Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition and Redmi 9 Prime both have Corning Gorilla Glass for protection against scratches, which the Samsung offering misses out on.

Coming to the performance, the Realme C15 and Samsung Galaxy M11 are Qualcomm devices. The former is powered by the 11nm octa-core Snapdragon 460 processor, whereas the latter features the Snapdragon 450 SoC. The Redmi 9 Prime gets the MediaTek Helio G80 processor ticking at its core. The Helio G80 chipset has higher CPU speed compared to the Snapdragon offerings and is also better of the three according to several reviews.

As for the software, all three smartphones come with Android 10 with the respective custom interfaces of their brands on top. The Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition comes with the Realme UI, Redmi 9 Prime has MIUI 11 and the Samsung Galaxy M11 features One UI.

The Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition features a quad-camera setup on the back comprising a 13-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, 2-megapixel BnW unit and 2-megapixel retro sensor. In the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The Redmi 9 Prime also comes with a quad-camera module featuring a 13-megapixel primary lens, 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, 5-megapixel macro shooter and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is an 8-megapixel unit.

The Samsung Galaxy M11 misses out in this department with its 13-megapixel primary + 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens + 2-megapixel depth sensor setup. In the front, the Galaxy M11 also features an 8-megapixel camera.

The Samsung Galaxy M11 has the smallest 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging. The Redmi 9 Prime offers a slightly larger 5,020mAh battery with 18W fast charging. However, Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition halts the clean sweep of Redmi 9 Prime with its 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

With four out of five categories in its bag, Redmi 9 Prime emerges as the clear winner here. The smartphone offers better performance, good cameras, and more RAM at the same price. However, if you are looking for a smartphone that offers longer battery backup with slightly downgraded specs, Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition is a good option.
